hello, My name is Anand M. My wife and I stayed in Jungle greens home stay during the Christmas weekend 2011 along with a close friends' family. it was a wonderful experience. the drive to Mallandur was a little tough. Once we entered the estate, we were engrossed with the superb surrounding. we were overwhelmed by the hospitality offered by the people at the home stay. Mr.Theja's cook and helper ensured that we got all that we needed. Mr.Theja himself was very amicable and shared lot of info on the surroundings. He took the time to take us in his jeep for an early morning drive which lasted around 30 minutes. we went to a scenic spot to witness the sunrise, though a little late, it was an exhilarating experience . Do ensure that you are ready by 5 30 AM to witness a sun rise of a life time. Food was very good and there were options for veg and non veg too. His cook were friendly and ensured that we were happy and adequately fed. Mr Theja has a nice garden on the backyard. Do plan some time to spend around in the estate campus. And plan to hit the area at a travel friendly time. Monsoon is time a big no no , else you car is sure to get stuck in the mud! One word of advice - the estate is close to muthodi forest and close to bhadra wild life sanctuary. see that you know someone in the chikmagalur forest department and get a pass early in the day to visit the forest. you are sure to spot some

It was an excellent get away, silently located in the middle of coffee estate and near to the Muthodi reserve forest, an ideal place to spend a week-end.

We had a wonderful experience in this home stay. The hosts were too good and made the stay very pleasant and memorable. Their homestay was surrounded by lush green coffee estate.. All greenery around and fresh air. Mists coming in the morning to wish us on the holiday.On the whole it was a very relaxing holiday in a peaceful, quiet and wonderful place.Best
Experience: There are couple of good experiences that we had in this jungle stay a) Their Rooms were too good and clean. b) Their garden with lovely roses which my daughter admired a lot. c) Their food -> Exemplary, Exceptional and wonderful. The care with which the food was made for my daughter.. never get such experiences outside home. d) They were also able to guide us to the local places e) Their local deity and temple.. was good.. to visit too Lasts but not the least.. the hosts treated us very well and took good care of each and every small thing. A must visit place to have a wonderful weekend and get your self back in action.

I stayed at the Estate Villa at Jungle Greens, with my family. The location was stunning with a 180 degree view of the forest. We had a nice quiet vacation, with long walks in the plantations and playing badminton/cricket etc in the front yard, which is huge. We had an attendant who helped with any small/big thing we needed. The facilities are good. No pretense at sphistication like the star hotels but everything you need is right there. The food was excellent, with a fair amount of variety. The host family extened us excellent hospitality. They arranged for a new year party for all the guests on the 31st, with no extra expense to any of us. The front and back yard of the estate villa can be developed - trees, plants and some grass would make the place even better. Hammocks would be ideal for lazing and gazing at the wonderful forest and the birds.

"My memory is stuck with..."
My memory is stuck with a fun filled journey to a beautiful place Jungle greens homestay which is half an hr drive from Chikmagalur. When memories live longer than anything else in this world. We were 4 of us who decided to go to this place. It was during the month of May .Its really a beautiful and a fantastic place to stay if you plan for holiday break. When we reached we were hungry....we freshened up and food was ready and hot waiting for us...great food...amazing food...great hospitality .The place around the homestay is planted with lots of coffee,pepper and other plants. When you get up early morning and step out, the scenic beautiful.. The hosts were very hospitable and took care of our every need. they are truly simple..We had a great experience of tasting varitety of malnad food and very good filter coffee. We stayed in the home stay for about 2 days. The home is quite spacious having a nice open sit out . The interiors were antique and well furnished.We had been for a drive to Muthodi forest in jeep. .???? The overall experience was good>

Excellent!! yes, thats the word I would like to use. Overall a great break from the hectic city life. The place is perfect on a nature\'s lap and the surroundings are breathtaking. Some of the places should not be missed. Just pack your bags and enjoy a pleasant trip to the heights where you can talk to the clouds while being one of them. We stayed in the Estate Villa at Jungle Greens, which consists on 2 BR a living room etc. The cost may be a little steep but it depends on what you are weighing your privacy against? If you are a family or just friends who wants to hang out without being bothered.. then this is the place. The hosts also offer dormitory and other row type bedrooms with common living room and dining rooms which is much more affordable.
Best Experience: Bhadra Wild Life Sanctuary - A wonderful reserve forest without much of vehicular moment and looks like a rain forest which offers some nice sightseeing of animals such as Deers, Porcupine, Snakes, Elephants, a wide range of birds etc. If you are lucky you may see a Tiger too because this reserve also hosts \'Save Tiger\' project. Valley View: This is where you will get to talk to the clouds, can be reached only through a 4x4 drive vehicle, this place offers tranquility and peace. Just be there to see the valleys touching the skies and indulge in inner talk with yourself Rocks: This was our last in the itinerary. A worth going 4x4 drive. This sure will amaze you on the capability of a Mahindra Jeep!! go there to climb a rock supposedly one of the highest peaks. A breathtaking view 360 degrees of open skies!
